*The standard tuition and miscellaneous fees for academic year 2021 – 2022 has been approved by the Ministry of Education last May 26, 2021 with Letter No. 1100071936.
Bachelor's Degree
REMARKS
BACHELOR'S DEGREE
- Computer and Internet fee: 1,000 NTD per semester of the first year. No fees will be charged for the second year above.
- Insurance Fee: 546NTD per semester in 2021/2022 academic year.
- See details no.9 for postponement of study:
- Students who take for less than 9 credits per semester will pay the credit fees, but full tuition and fees for courses of 9 or more credits. However, the fee is assessed based on the number of credit hours for those who take 0 credit.
- Students who postpone their studies and fail to select courses under regulations shall be ordered by the Academic Affairs Office to suspend their studies. There is no need to pay the registration fee for this semester when applying for a suspension.
4-YEAR BACHELOR'S DEGREE
- Computer and Internet fee: 1,000 NTD per semester of the first year. No fees will be charged for the second year above.
- Insurance Fee: 546NTD per semester in 2021/2022 academic year.
- There are zero credits for military training courses and physical education courses and will be charged based on the number of credit hours. The charging standard for 1 hour is the same as the tuition and miscellaneous fee-charging standard for 1 credit.
- Pre-accepted credits for each semester from 2011 to 2021 Academic year:
20 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 1st Year
18 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 2nd Year
16 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 3rd Year
12 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 4th Year
Total: 132 credits (included 4hrs of sports program)
- Pre-accepted credits for each semester from 2021 to 2022 Academic year:
20 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 1st Year
18 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 2nd Year
16 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 3rd Year
13 credits for semester 1 & 2 of 4th Year
Total: 134 credits (included 6hrs of sports program)
2-YEAR BACHELOR'S DEGREE

GRADUATE PROGRAM
REMARKS
- Computer and Internet fee: 1,000 NTD per semester of the first year. No fees will be charged for the second year above.
- Insurance Fee: 546NTD per semester in 2021/2022 academic year.
- Doctoral minimum length of study 3 years.
- The tuition and miscellaneous fees for general students enrolled in the master’s program starting from the 2016 academic years are as follows:
- Full tuition and miscellaneous fees shall be paid 2 years before the length of study; if the credits per semester is less than 9 (inclusive) from the third year of study, the credit fees shall be paid; if the credits are taken more 10 credits (inclusive) per semester, full tuition and miscellaneous fees must be paid.
- Pre-graduate students of the Master Program will follow Article 9, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1, of the “Implementation Measures for Continuous Studies and Master Degree of SHU-TE University”: Except for the full tuition and miscellaneous fees payable in the first academic year during the study period, the tuition and miscellaneous fees for the rest of the academic year will not be charged (only pay insurance fee).
IN-SERVICE GRADUATE PROGRAM
- Insurance Fee: 546NTD per semester in 2021/2022 academic year.
- Those who use the credit certificate of the Extension Education Center of SHU-TE to transfer credits must make up for the difference in the credit fee (calculated based on the school’s announced credit charging standards and the credits of the Extension Education Center).
- The graduation credit for Graduate School of Finance has revised to 36 credits since 2019/2020 academic year.
- Students enrolled in the “School of Management” and “School of Informatics” in-service master’s programs starting from the 2015/2016 academic year will be required to pay miscellaneous fees within 2 years of their study period, regardless of whether they have elective courses.
- After the course registration period, the difference between the “advanced credit fee” and the “receivable credit fee (credit fee for practical courses)” will be calculated, and repayment or refund will be made in the current semester.
- Students enrolled in the ” School of Design ” and ” School of Applied Sociology ” in-service master’s programs starting from the 2019/2020 academic year will be required to pay full tuition and miscellaneous fees 2 years prior to their length of study.
- Graduation credits included thesis credits and are calculated based on the credits provided by the Academic Affairs Office. 0 credits for the thesis of the Graduate School of Computer Science & Information Engineering will be charged as 6 credits based on 6 hours.
Bachelor's Associate Degree
- The credit per semester of the Dept. of Marketing Management has adjusted to 20 credits since 2019/2020 academic year.
- According to the regulations of the “Regulations for the change of the Junior College establishment”, which was completed in the letter No. 1080156171E of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, “The affiliated Junior College of SHU-TE university” will be transformed into a Continuing Education Division in accordance with the regulations starting from the 2020/2021 academic years.
- Insurance Fee: 546NTD per semester in 2021/2022 academic year.

- For Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao students who enrolled in the 2 years Bachelor Degree (Day School), the charging standard will be enacted according to the tuition and miscellaneous fees for the first to second grades of the 4 years Bachelor Degree (Day School).
- Internship during study period (entire semester) tuition fees: According to the letter No. 88058056 of Taiwan 88 Technical Characters dated June 3, 1999, of the Ministry of Education, “If students are internships in off-campus institutions for the entire semester, the cost of the semester is a full tuition and 4/5 of the miscellaneous fees (Accommodation fees will be charged if the student lives on campus). As the principle, no additional costs will be charged (such as computer or language internship fees and internet fees).
